yea but i have no problem repeating it :)

i decided to go vegan after at first initially just wanting to eat a plant based diet to be healthier as a part of wanting to lose weight. after watching the documentaries “Fat Sick and Nearly Dead” and “Forks Over Knives” i literally began eating a plant based diet (“eating vegan”) over night, no transition from meat to vegetarian to vegan.

i became vegan, that is to say not just eating vegan but living a vegan lifestyle, because of my passion for human rights. so i eat vegan to keep my body healthy and i live vegan to live a life that harms the least.

and when we first started talking he was concerned because he’s a student that works and i have a full time, well paying job

and he said that the way he was raised, a man is supposed to provide for his woman

and i get that notion

but that’s for marriage, for families, when bills and shit come into the picture and we all have to contribute

now

the only way i want you to provide for me is emotionally

we had a long talk about it because it doesn’t make sense for a student to buy me things and dish out money he doesn’t have out of some archaic reasoning or “principle”

i understand he genuinely wants to buy me things, because i “deserve” it (although by this logic technically he “deserves” it too)

but really i don’t like men buying me stuff

and the material shit you get me can’t compare to the emotional way you’re there for me

so currently, he pays for a date, then i pay for a date

This might sound random, but I feel like your posts get misinterpreted a lot. Like the "eating pasta with milk" thing (people do that??). It's like, people only see that comment which offends them instead of reading the entire post and understanding what it's about.
